Welcome
to the Great Hall...
...where the tidings of the day are shared.
“Beautifully
written, intensely passionate and gripping, FALLEN
grabbed me from the first sentence and didn’t let go. Its
eerie future world and frightening mores provide an unforgettable
backdrop to the story of Lilia Desjardins, the shade-hunter, and
fallen-angel turned cop, Adam Montgomery. It’s Matrix, Blade
Runner and Terminator rolled into a riveting love story and made
better. Perfect. A must-read by an author who keeps you on the edge
of your seat.”
Now
there's a review quote! That's from Linnea Sinclair,
award-winning author of future-set romances like The Down
Home Zombie Blues and Shades of Dark.

Watch for FALLEN, coming in October 2008 from Tor.
It's the first of a trilogy of dark fantasy romances, featuring
fallen angel heroes, and set in a gritty urban future. I'm really
excited about these books, which are both different from my historicals
and yet share a lot of common traits. If Linnea's review quote intrigued
you, there's a link below to provisional cover copy for the book
and an excerpt.

I have a new alter-ego, just to keep things interesting (and my
fingers busy). Hop through to my Biography for the link to my Deborah
Cooke site and the Dragonfire series.
• I post to my blog Alive & Knitting
most weekdays. You can also sign up for my monthly newsletter, which
is called Chestwick and administered through yahoogroups.

There are lots of benches to pull up to the fire while
you rest your weary feet (and wait to hear the latest tidings) and
there will be many stories shared once the hour becomes late. Be
careful what you believe within these walls, as things get a bit
unpredictable in the Great Hall around the full moon. Chestwick
brews a mean cup of mead so the wise are slow in emptying their
cups.
Until next time, take care and happy wandering —
Claire
